Garlic French bread

1 French bread
1 tablespoon minced garlic
Salt on taste
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
4 tablespoons melted butter
½ teaspoon grounded dried red peppers

How to prepare?
Cut down the baguette into 4 parts – from the bottom to the top and then cut each piece in half. Mix the butter, salt, lemon garlic and pepper. Spread the mixture over the bread. Lightly toast under broiler or preheat the oven to 450°F and bake until golden brown.
You can substitute the butter with an olive oil. Feel free to choose onion instead of garlic. If you do not have baguette, opt for normal bread cut in slices.

Eggs and Spinach recipe

4 large eggs, beaten
10 – oz package fresh spinach, chopped
1 tablespoon parsley chopped
½ cup feta cheese, crumbled
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
Black pepper, grounded on taste

How to prepare?
In a skillet on a medium heat, sauté the garlic for a minute, then add the spinach and cook for another 7-8 minutes. Pour eggs and cook turning 2 times. Crumble the cheese over the eggs and turn off heat. Cover the skillet until cheese melts. Sprinkle the chopped parsley and serve with fresh vegetable salad

Oatmeal pancakes recipe

2 cups milk
1 cup oats
2 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ cup melted butter
3 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup applesauce
½ stick grounded cinnamon
2 tablespoons olive oil

In a mixing bowl pour the milk then add the sugar and oats. In a separate bowl mix the eggs and milk. Stir into the oats&milk combination. Mix separately the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the main mixture and blend. Finally pour the applesauce and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Put the heat on ‘high’ then grease a skillet with some olive oil. Spoon batter onto the skillet. Cook until brown. It only takes one minute for a side to cook.

Serve with chocolate or your favorite topping.

Vegetable oven omelet recipe

2 medium sized mushrooms, rinsed, cleaned and sliced
1 medium-sized onion, chopped
¼ cup canned sweet corn
1 red pepper, chopped
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
5 eggs
½ cup milk
1 cup Cheddar or Emmental cheese, shredded
salt on taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley

In a skillet, sauté onion and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons oil until light brown. Add peppers and corn and cook until tender. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl combine eggs, milk, cheese and salt. Pour one tablespoon olive oil in baking dish then add the blended eggs and milk. Sprinkle with vegetables and cook for 15-20 minutes at high heat. To serve, decorate with chopped parsley.

Feta cheese bruschetta

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 – 12 minutes

½ cup extra virgin olive oil or your favorite vegetable oil
2 cups crumbled feta cheese
12 slices of French bread
1 tablespoon chopped onion or minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried basil or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil
(you can use thyme instead of basil)
2 medium-sized tomato, chopped
(optional – chopped fresh peppers)

Pour the oil over the slices. Place on a baking sheet and bake at high temperature for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Mix the cheese, onion and basil and spread over the toasts. Finish with tomato. Bake for 3-5 minutes and serve.

  • 1 lbs. (0,5kilogram) ground beef or pork
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped
  • 6 sliced Cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium sized tomato, sliced
  • 6 hamburger rolls or 12 sliced bread
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 tbsp. pepper
  • 1tbsp. butter
  • 1 cup of your favorite ketchup or barbeque sauce
  • 1 cup of your favorite mustard
  • Lettuce

How to prepare?

In a saucepan sauté onion in butter until tender.

In a mixing bowl combine ground meat with pepper, onion and salt. Shape into a 6 round flat loafs. Place the meat patties in a saucepan and cook them 3-5 minutes each side until brown. Remove from heat.

Meanwhile, toast the bread or hamburger rolls and butter.

To decorate your cheese hamburgers

Cover the bottom piece of bread with mustard.

Layer lettuce leaf, followed by meat, cheese, tomato and ketchup.
