Grapefruit smoothie recipe

2 cups milk
1 cup yoghurt
Juice of 1 medium grapefruit
2 tablespoons of brown sugar or honey
2 cups ice cubes

Place all components in a blender. Mix on a medium speed for 2-3 minutes.

You can use any fruit instead of grapefruit – orange, banana, strawberry.

Oatmeal pancakes recipe

2 cups milk
1 cup oats
2 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ cup melted butter
3 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup applesauce
½ stick grounded cinnamon
2 tablespoons olive oil

In a mixing bowl pour the milk then add the sugar and oats. In a separate bowl mix the eggs and milk. Stir into the oats&milk combination. Mix separately the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the main mixture and blend. Finally pour the applesauce and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Put the heat on ‘high’ then grease a skillet with some olive oil. Spoon batter onto the skillet. Cook until brown. It only takes one minute for a side to cook.

Serve with chocolate or your favorite topping.

Vegetable oven omelet recipe

2 medium sized mushrooms, rinsed, cleaned and sliced
1 medium-sized onion, chopped
¼ cup canned sweet corn
1 red pepper, chopped
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
5 eggs
½ cup milk
1 cup Cheddar or Emmental cheese, shredded
salt on taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley

In a skillet, sauté onion and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons oil until light brown. Add peppers and corn and cook until tender. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl combine eggs, milk, cheese and salt. Pour one tablespoon olive oil in baking dish then add the blended eggs and milk. Sprinkle with vegetables and cook for 15-20 minutes at high heat. To serve, decorate with chopped parsley.

This recipe combines tea and exotic herbs, spices and flavours.

Steeping time: 7-10 minutes

2 black tea bags or 3 herbal (decaf) tea bags
1 teaspoon ginger roots, chopped
2 whole cloves
3 cardamom seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon, grounded or chopped
1 glass milk
3 tablespoons sugar or honey

Bring 6 cups of water to boil in a kettle and turn off the heat. Add tea bags, ginger, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon and let them steep for 7-10 minutes. If you like stronger tea, wait until it gets an intense dark colour. Strain and add sugar and milk.

Simple sweet and sour pork chops recipe

The combination between two of the basic tastes – sweet and sour makes every meal an object of desire. Here is an easy recipe to prepare just by mixing products that can be assembled in minutes at home.

Marinating time: 1 to 8 hours
Baking time: 90 minutes

6 boneless chops
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon honey ( you can substitute it with brown sugar)
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon dried or fresh rosemary (you can use oregano instead)

How to prepare
Prepare the marinade by mixing 1 tbsp. oil, honey, mustard, salt, vinegar, lemon juice and the herbs.

Brown the chops over a high heat for 2-3 minutes. Place the meat in a baking dish and pour the marinade. Keep in the fridge for 1-8 hours.

Preheat the oven. Cover the baking dish with a foil and bake at 350° F for 80-90 minutes.

Serve with fresh vegetables.

Ham and cheese wraps recipe

5 tortillas
1 cup creamy cheese
1 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
1 cup shredded cucumbers or carrots
5 slices or 1 lb. sliced ham
2-3 leaves lettuce

Spread the cheese over the tortillas. Top with a shredded cheese and cucumber. Finish with ham and lettuce. Roll up and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Serve cut in half. Decorate with a salad of fresh vegetables or French fries.
