Oven Baked Trout Recipe

Trout is a fish with great flavour which contains essential Omega-3 fatty acids and healthy protein.This fish has a positive impact on our health. It features fat burning properties, especially the low calorie recipe below.

Preparing a trout in baking paper is a healthy way of cooking a large or medium-sized trout or fillets.


Preparation time: 5 mins
Cook time: 45 -60 mins
Serves: 2


  • 2 cleaned trout
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt to taste
  • mix of black, pink and green pepper


How to prepare?
Wash the fish thoroughly. Place it in a tray and add the olive oil, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Season inside and out with the spices.

Spread a large sheet of baking paper onto a baking tray and place the fish. Wrap the paper around the trout.

Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F or 200┬░ C for 40 minutes. Open the top of the paper and cook for another 10-15 minutes.

Pour the lemon juice over the Trout before serving.
